Detectivii Christopher Danson şi P.K. Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson şi Samuel L. Jackson) sunt cei mai răi şi totodată cei mai simpatici poliţişti din cartier. Ei lasă în urmă numai victime. La două birouri în spatele lor stau detectivii Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) şi Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg). Îi vedeţi în fundalul pozelor cu Danson şi Highsmith, visând cu ochii închişi. Ei nu sunt eroi – ci doar “agenţii de rezervă.”
